Gina coordinates our community pantry and supports the community seedling propagation and garden projects, growing strong, biologically rich seedlings for kura, community members and for sale.
Gina's is Malayan-Chinese and has lived in many parts of the world which means she brings a cross-cultural awareness to her mahi. She completed an MA in mental health and theological studies in Canada then retrained in integrated nutrition in New York. Her work looking at health in a wholistic way has led to her interest in community health.
More recently, Gina has been working with a permaculture expert learning the elements of propogation, landscape design, and the processes needed to run a propogation unit.
She’s also our resident sourdough expert, and is busy at home fermenting and preserving all sorts of edibles. This blends her interest in the technical aspects with her love of good food.
Gina’s passion: “I love good food and I also have a passion for music and singing and I play multiple instruments through my involvement with my faith community.”
